Sunday March 8 is the annual Butler County Democratic Party Gala, celebrating Democrats in Butler County and preparing for a Blue Wave in 2020!
UPDATED 3/5/20: U.S. Representative Tim Ryan just announced as Keynote Speaker.
This year, guests will hear from candidates for State offices and Congress, including:
- Kathy Wyenandt, State Senator 4th District
- Chuck Horn, State Representative 52nd District
- Michelle Novak, State Representative 53rd District
- Morgan Showen, State Representative 54th District
- Vaness Enoch, Representative to Congress 8th District
Candidates for Justice of the Supreme Court John P. O’Donnell and Jennifer Brunner will also be speaking. The 2020 election is critical in terms of electing Democrats to the Supreme Court, with redistricting on the agenda in 2021 post-census.
For attendees at the Bronze, Gold, Silver and Platinum level, a reception where they get to meet and speak with the candidates will precede the formal dinner.
In addition to the speakers, BCDP will honor volunteers who have made a difference in the party. Attendees will also be able to participate in a Silent Auction, featuring a variety of items including a week-long vacation. New this year is a Wine Pull. And attendees will also have an opportunity to speak their mind on important issues both locally and nationally, which we’ll be sharing in an upcoming article on the site.
