WHY I’M RUNNING FOR OFFICE
I am running to bring a focus on the people of Ohio rather than purely business development. The current legislation is not focused on the needs of the people, to wit: they are working to undercut Issue 1–women’s reproductive freedom to include access to abortion; they deny health care to transgender children; they oppose an increased minimum wage; they support EdChoice which negatively impacts the public school system by diverting funds to private schools. My slogan is “put the heart back onto Ohio.”
PRIORITIES
Protect women’s reproductive rights, to include access to abortion and improve access to health services in general.
Champion an increased liveable minimum wage to $15/hr.
Repeal the use of fracking in our public parks and wildlife areas to protect the environment.
Increase funding for public education by reviewing EdChoice and redirecting tax dollars away from private institutions.
Increase state funding for mental health professionals and facilities to address the addiction epidemic.
