Meet the Candidate: Tamara Small Butler County Commissioner

DISTRICT & DESCRIPTION
Butler County

WHY I’M RUNNING FOR OFFICE

I’m running for the position of Butler County commissioner because local government has an immediate and direct effect on people’s lives. Butler County commissioners are responsible for maintaining the county budget, being good stewards of taxpayer dollars, ensuring the safety of county residents, and providing services to maintain and promote public health. As Commissioner, I will invest in economic and workforce development, prioritize public safety, and expand access to mental health and addiction recovery services.

PRIORITIES

Economic and Workforce Development: We must prioritize workforce development and economic stability by investing in training programs, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local businesses.

Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Services: We must prioritize access to mental health and addiction recovery services and update policies to better meet community needs. Strengthening intergovernmental partnerships and fostering a community-wide commitment to mental health and addiction recovery are crucial steps toward creating a healthier, more resilient Butler County for all residents.
