Voter Registration Toolkit for Volunteers

Please note: All completed voter registration forms must be delivered to the Butler County Board of Elections within 10 calendar days of completion. It is legal and acceptable for a volunteer to return requests. Applications may be placed in the dropbox or walked inside and delivered to the clerk.

You are qualified to register to vote in Ohio if you meet all the following requirements:

Voter Registration & Update

To register to vote in Ohio or to update your voting address, you may visit Ohio’s online voter registration system. 

The following items are required: 

All applications must be printed, signed, and returned to the local board of elections.

Vote By Mail Requests

There are 2 options to request an absentee | vote by mail ballot. 

In addition, here is an accessible option for voters with disabilities.

*Near relative includes the voter’s spouse or the voter’s father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, brother, or sister of the whole or half blood, or the son, daughter, adopting parent, adopted child, stepparent, stepchild, uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece.

Photo ID Required to Vote in Person

As of 2023, there are new voter identification requirements. All voters must have a valid and current state-issued photo ID. Further information linked here.
