What’s On the Ballot
In odd-numbered years in Ohio, we have municipal elections. This includes candidates running for local school boards, city council members, township trustees and municipal judges. In addition, there may be issues on the ballot, either county-wide or in specific municipalities or school districts.

For the 2025 municipal elections, the Butler County Democratic Party has a list of preferred candidates, and we are asking you to support these candidates. To become a preferred candidate, candidates were encourages to fill out the screening information which consists of a number of questions regarding support of Democratic values as well as plans for their campaigns. 27 candidates completed the screening application, and 22 candidates went through the interview process.
