ON THE FRONT LINES OF CHANGE

Internship at the Ohio Democratic Party! Our time is NOW!

Organizing Interns will have an important role in the Field Department of ODP. All interns will participate in multiple facets of the campaign process, including field experiences, direct and online work, and various political operations. Activities may include direct voter contact, new media, community outreach, volunteer recruitment, event attendance, planning and management, data management and general office duties.

The program is a voluntary experience intended to provide knowledge, skills, and experience that each intern can apply to future challenges and professional pursuits.  Some of the fantastic benefits to you include:

DATABASE MANAGEMENT

• Experience in database use for various administrative tasks, including voter file, phone banking, etc. 

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Plenty of initiative and a willingness to learn
• Hard working, independent (yet team-oriented) and well organized
• Punctual and reliable
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• IT literate: familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer
• A sense of humor
• An interest in the workings of government
• Supportive of Democratic values

Interns must be available for 12 or more hours/week for at least 12 weeks. Often work schedules may require evenings and weekends.
